CFIDS Blues

Steve says: "There's a tune, but you'll have to imagine it."

Well I'm so tired, I've got the CFIDS blues,
from the tip of my headache, to my socks (can't find my shoes).
I get up....too early every day,
and crawl out to the couch an' that's where I stay.
I've got the CFIDS blues....sick and tired of CFIDS blues.

My friends and family think I'm just depressed,
the doctor says: "You need more rest,"
"I can't find nothin'....wrong with you Steve"
"That'll be two hundred dollars, you can pay as you leave."
I've got the CFIDS blues....sick and tired of CFIDS blues.

Can't tell you how many times I've been misdiagnosed,
and of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most.
I used to have a memory that was quite distinctive....
but now it's not a steel trap...it's more like a sieve.
I've got the CFIDS blues....sick and tired of CFIDS blues.

Well I've tried herbs and vitamins....
Maybe I'm just payin' for some previous sins.
Everybody's got a pet theory...
The only help I've got's from homeopathy.
I've got the CFIDS blues....sick and tired of CFIDS blues.

They say this disease ain't life theatenin',
but you better hide the handguns or I'll do myself in.
I swore there's no depression, but I take that back,
And now I'm thankin' heaven for my....prozac.

I can't stand...livin' this way....don't know if I can make it through
another day....

I've got the CFIDS blues....sick and tired of CFIDS blues.
